General warm-up
As part of the event "May 68 General Assembly"at the George Pompidou Center.Jocelyn Cottencin presents the project "General Warm Up" co-produced with 10 students
from Emmanuelle Huynh's dance studioof the Beaux-Arts de Paris (ENSBA)

General warm up is a work in progress composed in three part :
the performance Monumental, Warm up and extracts of the film Faire feu
Monumental
Performance, short version, 2018
For general warm-up, the Monumental performance is shown twice per week at the Pompidou Center.Both sculptural and choreographic work, both visual arts and performative, Monumental brings into question
the issue of the show and the reception images through statuary, architectural heritage and works in public space.
This piece displaces the notions of figure, narrative and form. Monumental has been shown
for the first time at the Center Pompidou in 2016 with a group of 12 performers and choreographers
that Jocelyn Cottencin has met over the course of his collaborations.
At the invitation of Emmanuelle Huynh and as part of her Dance Workshop at the Beaux Arts in Paris,
Jocelyn Cottencin passed on a part of this performative piece to a group of students.
Warm-up
For General Warm-Up, each day begins with a warm-up with a schedule that may vary. This warm-up can beaimed at different types of audience. This warm-up is supported by students, Jocelyn Cottencin or Emmanuelle Huynh
or guests. During the day, students and Jocelyn Cottencin work on a printed newspaper on site.
The edition then becomes a kind of statement that is both poetic and possibly functional. Newspapers are available
for the public to read and warm up if they wish on the space dedicated to this activity.
A global edition will be produced at the end of the event.

Faire Feu
The third element of the project Warming up is a screening of extracts from the film Firing by Jocelyn Cottencin.Fires, is a film he shot from March 2017 to April 2018 at the National School of Fine Arts in Paris with the 16 students engaged in the recovery of Monumental.
Firing is a fiction, a documentary, a performance, a gaping story, around 16 young student artists, about engagement, community, images, art in contemporary society.
The final editing of the film is scheduled for late June.

Monumental
Pièce performative, version courte, 2018
Pour échauffement général, la performance Monumental est montré deux fois par semaine
au centre Pompidou. Tant travail sculptural
que chorégraphique, tant arts visuels
que performatif, Monumental met en jeu
la question de l'émission et de la réception des images au travers de la statuaire, du patrimoine architectural et des œuvres dans l'espace public. Cette pièce déplace les notions de figure, de récit et de forme. Monumental a été montré pour
la première fois au Centre Pompidou en 2016
avec un groupe de 12 performers
et chorégraphesque Jocelyn Cottencin a rencontrés au fil de ses collaborations.
À l'invitation d'Emmanuelle Huynh et dans le cadre de son Atelier Danse aux Beaux arts de Paris, Jocelyn Cottencin a transmis à un groupe d'étudiantes et étudiants une partie
de cette pièce performative.
La version originale de Monumental a été créée

Échauffements
Pour échauffement général, chaque journée débute par un échauffement avec un horaire qui peut varier.
Cet échauffement peut s'adresser à différents types de public. Cet échauffement est pris en charge par les étudiants,
Jocelyn Cottencin ou Emmanuelle Huynh ou des invités. Dans la journée, les étudiants et Jocelyn Cottencin
travaillent à l'édition d'un journal imprimé sur place.
L'édition devient alors une sorte de « statement » à la fois poétique et possiblement fonctionnelle.
Les journaux restent à disposition pour le public qui pourra les lire et s'échauffer si il le souhaite
sur l'espace dédié à cette activité.
Une édition globale sera réalisée à l'issue de la manifestation.

Le troisième élément du projet échauffement général, c'est une projection d'extraits du film Faire feu
de Jocelyn Cottencin. Faire feu, est un film qu'il a tourneÌÌ de mars 2017 aÌ€ avril 2018 à l'école nationale supérieure
des Beaux Arts de Paris avec les 16 eÌtudiantes et eÌtudiants engageÌs dans la reprise de Monumental.
Faire feu est une fiction, un documentaire, une performance, un reÌcit lacunaire, autour de 16 jeunes eÌtudiantes
et eÌtudiants artistes, sur l'engagement, la communauteÌ, les images, l'art dans la socieÌteÌ contemporaine.
Le montage final du film est prévu pour fin juin.
