In relation with Monumental stage performance for twelve dancers, Jocelyn Cottencin continues
his dialogue withdance by investing today
in the practice of warm-up. General warm-up was
activated for the first time in the of the event
«May 68 Assembly General " from April 28 to May 20, 2018 at the Center Georges Pompidou.
Made from a body of warm-ups – writings commissioned from different artists
(especially those involved in Monumental) –, General warm up proposes its appropriation
by reading a physical imaginary. Designed as an editorial project to be activated,
the exhibition becomes the hybrid place between documentation and set-up, and positions
the warm-up as a poetic, political and potentially functional material. Practice times
of warm-up scores will be offered throughout
the exhibition.

Faisant écho à sa performance scénique Monumental pour douze danseurs, Jocelyn Cottencin poursuit
son dialogue avec la danse en investissant aujourd’hui la pratique de l’échauffement. "Échauffement général" a été activé pour la première fois dans le cadre de la manifestation Mai 68 Assemblée générale du 28 avril au 20 mai 2018 au Centre Georges Pompidou.
Élaborée à partir d’un corpus d’échauffements –
écrits commandés à différents artistes
(notamment ceux impliqués dans Monumental) –, Échauffement général propose son appropriation par la lecture d’un imaginaire physique. Conçue comme un projet éditorial à activer, l’exposition devient le lieu hybride entre documentation et mise en corps, et positionne l’échauffement comme un matériau poétique, politique et potentiellement fonctionnel.
Des temps de pratique des partitions d’échauffement sont proposés tout au long de l’exposition

À l'occasion de l'exposition, une édition a été tirée et numérotée à 50 exemplaires, se composant des 19 partitions / manifestes d'échauffement, d'un dessin esquisse du wall-drawing et d'un colophon numéroté.
