JOCELYN COTTENCIN WITH THE STUDENTS IN YEAR 1 OF ENSAD NANCY 2021
From the field of visual arts, I work on the development of projects which take collective forms, collective experiences as art work often using the movement, the choreography as a material. The notion of group is often central, the group is then considered like a productive social sculpture in motion. CAMP is a project initiated in autumn 2020 at ENSAD Nancy. CAMP is a performative choreographic action where a group is organized for alternately for build, resonate, deconstruct, make shelter, find the ground and melt. The figures that emerge echo basic elements of what is founding, structure a group, a company, with actions that can be listened to of the group as in the confrontation. CAMP was done with a group of 51 young students from the Nancy schoolwith materials found on site (Trestles, wooden planks, cleats, stools).

CAMP est un projet initié en automne 2021 à l’ENSAD Nancy. CAMP est une action chorégraphique performative où un groupe s’organise pour tour à tour pour construire, faire résonner, déconstruire, s’abriter, retrouver le sol et fondre. Les figures qui émergent font échos à des éléments de base de ce qui fondent, structurent un groupe, une société, avec des actions qui peuvent être à l’écoute du groupe comme dans l’affrontement. CAMP s'est fait avec les 51 étudiant.e.s de l’école de Nancy d’année 1 avec des matériaux trouvés sur place (Tréteaux, planches de bois, tasseaux, tabourets). Cette action s'est faite dans le cadre du workshop d'intégration CORPS & ESPACE, mené par Jocelyn Cottencin et Pauline Simon
